THE MERSEY BAR LIGHTSHIP LV23 (The PLANET)

Visit the PLANET LV23 and support the work of the Warship Preservation Trust

Out at sea in all conditions this vessel could not run into port to avoid a storm. It just had to sit it out tied to the sea bed by its two strong anchors. Built more solid than today's Warships this little vessel could do it. With thick steal plates riveted together the sea would have to work hard to destroy it. However some were lost with their crews in very tragic circumstances.
